Printed Fabric Historic Period Theme: Sarasa Pattern
Textile design pattern name 'sarasa' is Portuguese. Sarasa is derived from the nomination of India. This pattern, found in the Mohenjodaro ruins of Pakistan from BC 2,500 to AD 1,600, is a geometric pattern of flowers, animals and plants, all over textile fabrics.
It has established itself as an independent textile design pattern in various countries including India Sarasa, Java Sarasa, Siam Sarasa, Persia Sarasa and Chinese Sarasa.
